The Challenge

The goal was to create a film that went beyond standard sports coverage and instead focused on storytelling, atmosphere and identity.

For an athlete like Lewis Sylvester, the content needed to do more than simply showcase training or fight footage. It had to communicate who he is, where he comes from and where he is heading, while also reflecting the intensity and discipline required at this level of the sport.

At the same time, the film needed to feel authentic to boxing culture. It couldn’t be overly polished or commercial, but still had to maintain a high-end cinematic quality that would elevate his personal brand and make the content suitable for wider promotional use.

Balancing these elements — authenticity, narrative and production value — was key to creating something that would resonate with both boxing audiences and potential sponsors.

The Approach

We built the film around a gritty, narrative-driven concept, combining controlled lighting, stylised visuals and dynamic camera movement.

To achieve the desired look, we sourced a gym set within a converted church, allowing us to utilise the natural light coming through the large windows. By introducing haze into the space, we were able to shape that light into a soft, volumetric effect, creating a distinctive shadow-driven atmosphere that reflects the intensity and focus of the sport.

Shot on the RED V-Raptor with cine lenses and stabilised movement, the production focused on creating a raw and immersive feel while maintaining a high-end cinematic finish.

The overall visual approach was designed to feel grounded and authentic, avoiding overly polished imagery in favour of something more atmospheric and character-led.

What We Delivered & Results

We delivered a cinematic promo film supported by additional content for use across digital platforms and athlete promotion.

The film provides Lewis with a high-quality asset that can be used to build his personal brand, support conversations with sponsors and promoters, and strengthen his presence across social media and online platforms.

Since release, the video has generated over 10,000 views, helping increase visibility and engagement around his profile as a rising figure within the lightweight division.

Beyond performance metrics, the content gives Lewis a long-term piece of promotional material — something that represents him at a professional level and can continue to be used across future campaigns, announcements and career milestones.

This project forms part of our wider sports video production work.
