EnergyForce – Powering Smarter Business Energy

EnergyForce delivers commercial energy infrastructure across the UK, combining EV charging, Solar PV, battery storage, grid connections, intelligent control and long-term support into one connected offer.

Astor was brought in to create a flagship brand film and supporting service content that could communicate the full scale of that proposition, moving beyond a single-technology story and presenting EnergyForce as an integrated energy partner.

The production followed the business across customer sites, live installations and its own operations, capturing the engineering, technology and people behind a nationwide energy infrastructure company.

The Challenge

EnergyForce is not a single-product energy business. Its offer stretches across EV charging, Solar PV, battery storage, grid connections, energy management, monitoring and nationwide maintenance.

That breadth is commercially valuable, but it creates a communications challenge. If one technology dominates the visual story, the audience can quickly form too narrow a picture of what the company actually does.

The film therefore needed to show EnergyForce as a connected infrastructure partner rather than a collection of separate services. EV charging had to sit alongside generation and storage. Grid and ICP capability needed to feel as important as the more immediately visual technologies. Software, ChargeControl and remote monitoring also had to become part of the story, not simply an afterthought.

At the same time, the finished content needed to remain accessible. The audience did not need a technical explainer for every system; they needed to understand how EnergyForce brings those systems together to give businesses greater control, resilience and visibility over their energy infrastructure.

The Approach

We built the production around the way EnergyForce operates in the real world: across multiple technologies, customer environments and stages of the energy journey.

Filming took place across customer sites and EnergyForce operations around the UK, following installations and engineers rather than relying on a single controlled location. That gave the film genuine scale and allowed each part of the offer to be shown in context.

Solar arrays, EV charging infrastructure, battery systems, grid connections and electrical engineering were captured alongside the teams responsible for installing, managing and supporting them. At headquarters, the focus shifted towards monitoring, software and the operational intelligence behind the physical infrastructure.

The production also evolved as the edit developed. Where the initial material risked leaning too heavily towards Solar PV, additional filming was used to strengthen the EV, ICP and connected-infrastructure story. That ensured the final film represented the business EnergyForce had become rather than simply the most visually obvious parts of its portfolio.

The visual treatment remained cinematic throughout, but clarity drove the structure. Each location and technology had to contribute to one wider message: EnergyForce helps businesses connect, generate, store, manage and maintain energy as one system.

Showing the Whole Energy System

One of the most important creative decisions was to avoid treating Solar PV, EV charging, battery storage, grid connections and O&M as isolated chapters.

For the businesses EnergyForce works with, those technologies increasingly overlap. A dealership may need charging infrastructure, additional grid capacity, solar generation, battery storage and intelligent load management at the same site. Once installed, those assets also need monitoring and long-term support.

The film was structured around that relationship. Physical infrastructure gives the story scale, while software, monitoring and engineering support show what happens after installation.

That broader view also helped communicate EnergyForce’s role as an Independent Connection Provider and its ability to manage complex projects from early-stage planning and electrical infrastructure through to operation and maintenance.

Rather than simply showing what the individual products look like, the production was designed to help audiences understand how the complete EnergyForce offer fits together.

The Result

The project created a broader visual platform for EnergyForce rather than a single standalone video.

The flagship brand film brings the complete business proposition together, giving the company a central piece of content for its website, sales conversations and wider brand communications. Supporting service content then gives individual areas of the business more space, including the Operations & Maintenance offer and the remote monitoring that sits behind EnergyForce installations.

The production also generated a substantial library of footage and photography across real customer environments, giving EnergyForce a more consistent visual identity for future campaigns, social content and sector-specific communications.

Most importantly, the finished work reflects the breadth of the company. Solar remains part of the story, but it now sits within a much larger picture of EV infrastructure, battery storage, grid connections, intelligent control and nationwide support.

The result is a brand story built around how EnergyForce actually operates: not as a supplier of isolated technologies, but as a partner responsible for the wider energy system around them.
