Connexin provides Internet of Things (IoT) solutions that connect devices to improve efficiency and support smart city development. This project focused on producing a high-end promotional film that showcases how their infrastructure and technology are transforming Hull’s digital landscape.

Smart city infrastructure is complex, technical and often invisible, yet it plays a critical role in how modern cities operate.
The challenge was to communicate Connexin’s IoT and digital infrastructure in a way that felt clear, credible and engaging to a wide audience — from local authorities and stakeholders to potential partners and investors.
Rather than overwhelming viewers with technical detail, the film needed to simplify the message while still conveying the scale, innovation and real-world impact of the technology.
We built the film around real-world environments, focusing on how Connexin’s infrastructure integrates into the city rather than relying on abstract visuals or purely technical explanations.
Filming took place across Hull, capturing live locations, connected systems and everyday scenarios to ground the technology in reality. This allowed us to show not just what the infrastructure is, but how it actively supports the way a city functions and evolves.
The narrative was structured to move from overview to application, helping the audience understand both the scale of the network and its practical benefits. Visually, the approach combined clean compositions, controlled movement and natural environments to create a film that felt both cinematic and informative.
We delivered a cinematic smart city film designed to translate complex infrastructure into a clear and engaging narrative, supported by additional edits for use across digital platforms and stakeholder communications.
The content positions Connexin as a key player in the development of connected, future-ready cities, providing a strong visual asset for use in presentations, marketing and strategic conversations.
The film helps communicate the value of IoT infrastructure in a way that is accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences, supporting wider engagement with partners, stakeholders and decision-makers.
