With a Professional Video Alliance certified colour grading setup, multiple high-end audiovisual workstations with access to around 80 Terabytes of high-speed shared storage allowing for editing 4K raw footage in realtime – we’re armed to the teeth to tackle just about anything thrown at us.
Once editing begins, we start by cutting and combining the captured/generated material from production into the chronology agreed during pre-production. This is where the magic happens. The video is graded, the audio is mixed and any supers (superimposed) graphics are added.
Now that we’ve got editions ready for your viewing, we enter the review phase. Whether you’re on the other side of the world or local, Astor has the facilities to suite you. If you’re local, come into our studio to get the full experience with a dedicated member of staff to guide you through the fruits of the labour – conversely, we’ll send you a link to the feature packed, web-based review platform Frame.io, to which we can upload multiple versions of a project, with the ability for you to leave comments at particular points, annotate on the footage and even download compressed previews to view offline.
Once the content has been put together, we put it through rigorous testing to ensure it holds up to delivery. This involves previewing the content on different playback mediums, such as a phone, a laptop, earbuds or large speakers. Once this phase is complete, the product is now ready for distribution.
